“Lightning
fingers and a heavenly smile.” Doug
Montgomery has been entertaining fans
around the world for over three decades.
A graduate of Northwestern University
and Juilliard School of Music, he got
his start at the age of 10 in his hometown
of Chicago.
Living
in Santa Fe, New Mexico since 1982, Montgomery
still attracts widespread attention
as the featured pianist and vocalist at the
well known Vanessie’s of Santa Fe.
With 10 recordings on CD and cassette, he
has been coined the Michael Feinstein of
the Southwest.
Aside
from his regular playing engagement in
Santa Fe and at Vicky’s in Indian
Wells, Montgomery maintains a full schedule
of private engagements and concerts throughout
the country. Counted among his many admirers
are Gerald and Betty Ford, Henry Kissinger,
Bob Hope, Diane Sawyer and Oscar de la Renta.
No
matter the venue, when all the merrymaking
and revelry subside, your interlude will
leave you with the feeling that you’ve
never quite heard music played this way before.
“Doug Montgomery is a gifted musician
who is equally at home performing Chopin
or singing show tunes…”
Michael
Feinstein
“I think Doug Montgomery is one of
the finest and most entertaining pianists
I have ever heard.”
Arnold Palmer
