The year is 1959, the place Detroit, and history is being made in what would soon become Hitsville USA. From its humble beginnings to what became one of the biggest record labels of all time, we will tell the story through song in how Berry Gordy and Smokey Robinson teamed up to create this musical empire. There is just too much music to pack into one show, so we are dividing into two great revues. Part one features the music of Motown's early years from the 1950's through the early 1970's.

The history of Motown and rhythm and blues music is based on the show business aspirations and successes of R&B acts such as The Supremes, The Shirelles, James Brown, Jackie Wilson, and others, the musical follows the story of a young female singing trio from Chicago, Illinois called "The Dreams"
